Assistant, Media Insights

Integral member of the growing Media Insights team which provides centralized expertise, knowledge, and resources to drive insights-led, strategic planning across the agency. Assists the team in educating the agency on media and consumer trends and supports research/insight needs for assigned client accounts. Becomes an expert on media research tools and resourceful when it comes to uncovering new, relevant insights.


Research and Insights Support on Client Accounts

  • Compile category and competitive analysis reports
  • Assist in developing target audience segments and profiles
  • Be resourceful in uncovering research or data to support/guide client recommendations or answer key questions

Media Insights Reporting and Sharing

  • Gather insights and assist in writing topical reports on industry and consumer trends to be shared across the agency and clients
  • Contribute trend, news and competitive topics to client insights newsletters

Agency Research Tools

  • Become an expert user of research tools/software, such as social listening (Netbase), competitive tracking (Kantar), syndicated consumer research (Simmons), media planning tools (comScore, Nielsen), etc.

New Business

  • Support the pitch team on new business projects, which may include industry landscape, competitive overview, target audience development
  • Curious mind and resourcefulness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong numerical aptitude
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workloads
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word); Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university
  • Experience: Agency internship or 1+ year(s) of experience preferred
