Associate, Digital Investment

The Associate, Digital Investment will work within a buying team as well as designated client teams. The Associate has the main day-to-day responsibility for assigned accounts and is expected to be familiar with all account details as they pertain to buying activities. The Associate provides input to the buying direction as well as development and execution of buying recommendations under the direction of the Manager, Digital Investment, and Director, Digital Investment.  The Associate is also responsible for managing and training Assistants, as well as being proficient in utilizing third party research tools and implementation systems (3rd party ad servers, media buying tools). The successful candidate will possess an expertise in evaluation, negotiation and purchasing of digital media.


Assist on plan development and recommendation development, including:

  • Assist the Supervisor, Digital Investment in campaign negotiations process
  • Work with internal Brand & Channel Planning teams and utilize 3rd party syndicated research resources (i.e. comScore, Nielsen, etc.) to develop partner recommendations for upfront and standard buys
  • Help develop RFPs and evaluate proposals from publishers/media vendors
  • Work with Analytics team to collect relevant information on past performance
  • Develop POV’s for relevant partners and opportunities both internally, and client requests
  • Meet with industry representatives to gain insight to all phases and points of contact of media partners
  • Provide and obtain information/intelligence from Haworth Digital Investment leadership team

Work with Digital Investment team on implementation and optimization of campaigns, including:

  • Keeping up-to-date on all communications with planning team – including buy authorizations, tracking reports, buy changes, creative specifications, etc.
  • Review media buys, naming conventions, and IOs in Symphony done by Associates
  • Oversee Associates work with Activation team to ensure proper trafficking of campaigns
  • Ongoing buy management and stewardship of campaigns (pacing, updates in Symphony, optimizations etc.)
  • Create optimization recommendations along with Analytics and Channel Planning teams
  • Oversee Associates to ensure agreed to optimizations with partners are correctly executed for all campaigns

Work with the Analytics & Channel Planning teams on reporting and analysis

  • Benchmark and value reporting
  • Coordination and input on standard buy campaign reporting
  • Draw insights from data and articulate into report

Train and oversee Digital Investment Associates to ensure accurate and timely vendor invoice approval and reconciliation with Finance teams

  • Update financial details in Symphony
  • Manage client financials such as media authorizations, budget reconciliation, and budget management
  • Work with Media Operations Specialists (MOS) as needed
  • Creating a culture that integrates best practices across all channels; create a resource of centralized investment intelligence across all channels; set the future vision for cross channel integration
  • Proactively seeking innovation opportunities and solutions that clients can take advantage of, recognizing the diverse array of Haworth clients
  • Working with individual channel investment leaders to drive a better connection across channel plans, Investments and measurement
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Media Planner or equivalent title
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with 3rd party syndicated research resources such as comScore and Nielsen
  • Experience with 3rd party ad servers (DFA preferred)
  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, effectively communicate and draw insights from various media research data
  • Demonstrate professional, proper techniques, and etiquette when dealing with individuals internally and externally through all means of communication at all times
