Associate, Programmatic

The Programmatic Investment Team is a dedicated planning and buying unit responsible for all day-to-day programmatic setup, activations and optimizations of campaigns. As a member of this team you will be consistently exposed to and trained on new technologies, programmatic strategies and activation techniques that provide the Programmatic Associate a valuable foundation of knowledge and expertise in digital media.

The Associate will be responsible for creating and executing audience based media plans using the newest media technology platforms in the industry. You will translate client campaign goals into actionable strategy, work with the partnerships team to leverage existing deals or secure new ones, while assisting the analytics team to measure and optimize against client goals

The Associate will also learn to monitor campaign and inventory performance and work with both internal and external teams to continuously improve our clients’ results. You will learn to work with performance data and gain a strong understanding of how it permeates and drives the marketing industry. You will learn to be a data-driven decision maker and will be responsible for helping execute programmatic media campaigns from start to finish.

  • Responsible for buying and planning digital programmatic audience-based media, including overall media plan maintenance and delivery
  • Accountable for individual campaign success by maintaining a deep understanding of client business goals and objectives
  • Responsible for campaign architecture and execution including data strategy, audience modeling, reporting requirements, and post campaign analysis
  • Evaluation of data, analytics, and platforms options in marketplace
  • Develop and execute tag mapping strategy for effective campaign data collection
  • Effectively manage client budget and spending accurately
  • Troubleshoot issues on all pre-production and live campaigns
  • Monitor pacing and implement optimizations across multiple campaigns to achieve optimal KPIs metrics
  • Develop technical knowledgebase in audience based digital buying and relevant systems
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of marketing presentations to key client contacts
  • Assist in campaign strategy by using audience behavior segments
  • Inform supply negotiations and serve as execution lead to ensure all deal targets are hit once supply partnerships have been finalized
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Media planning & buying tools including Mediaocean/Prisma
  • Data visualization & reporting: Tableau
  • Advanced knowledge of Programmatic ad tech including DMP’s, DSP’s, SSP’s, and 3rd party data providers
    is a plus
  • Familiarity with Viewability (MOAT, IAS, DoubleVerify) and audience measurement (ComScore, Nielsen DAR)
    is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
  • Minimum of two years’ experience within digital (planning and buying experience required)
  • Minimum of one year experience within programmatic advertising required
  • Digital/Programmatic Agency, Publisher, or Ad Operations experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
