Planner, Media Strategy

Haworth seeks a Planner, Media Strategy with strong media experience demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, and implementation of innovative thinking within strategic marketing plans. The Planner will be the lead in providing day-to-day stewardship and be responsible for overall media execution details.


Media Planning

  • Accountable for day-to-day flow of media activity, information and timelines
  • Responsible for ensuring media plans and recommendations meet goals. Including:
  • Review of media channel recommendations and providing critical thinking and analysis
  • Lead competitive, target audience deep dives, research and other creative solutions to aid in strategy development
  • Manage all execution paperwork and budget tracking
  • Lead recap of media plan

Internal Communication

  • Report into Supervisor & manage up as needed with questions, ideas, and check-ins
  • Manage development and training of Assistant, Media Strategy to effectively utilize media resources, and understand & implement media guidelines/procedures
  • Responsible to develop & maintain strong working relationship with fellow employees; run point as primary day-to-day contact for channel teams
  • Update status doc and lead internal status meetings

Relationships & Service

  • Lead day-to-day communication of client updates and circulate documents with teams


  • Responsible for building media plan slides with Supervisor’s lead
  • Potential to present portions of media plans to direct client and core team
  • Provide opportunities for Assistants to present research and competitive findings to core team, and client when prepared
  • 2+ years of experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university – degree in Marketing, Advertising preferred
  • Solid knowledge of media resources, terminology and applications
  • Base understanding of all media types, including TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor, Digital and Social
  • Ability to comfortably communicate with clients and vendors
  • Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • “Self-starter”, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workloads
  • Motivated to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration
  • Experience employing innovative thinking and development of creative strategic solutions
