Planner, Paid Social Investment

This position plays an integral role in paid social media strategy as well as proposing and implementing the paid social discipline to external clients and internal account teams. To effectively drive day-to-day tactical execution of the service and exceed client expectations this position requires strong understanding of paid social media



  • Manage day to day contact with clients regarding overall paid social strategies, ongoing initiatives, campaign health, optimizations and reporting
  • Leverage client data, third party research, competitive information and platform insights to lead paid social strategy for assigned accounts
  • Confidently present paid social recommendations to account teams internally and externally to clients
  • Research and present emerging paid social platforms and beta products to support future client objectives
  • Provide recommendations and points of view on campaign structure, targeting, creative opportunities, display network, and other facets of paid social in accordance with client goals
  • Centrally manage rate tracking, benchmarking, planning costs and overall budget for assigned accounts
  • Participate and elevate campaign brainstorm sessions
  • Work with team and external partners to define custom social user experiences (e.g. applications, contest, mobile executions, social TV, etc.)
  • Align with cross-channel partners to integrate paid social media into the overall communications plan


  • Lead account/campaign build, optimizations and reporting execution on an on-going basis
  • Monitor bids, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important metrics
  • Engage in paid social platform moderation efforts including weekend and holiday check-ins 
  • Manage the billing process to eliminate discrepancies and steward the billing process and actualize dollars regularly
  • When/where applicable: support the team to negotiate make goods and coordinate added value 


  • Extract, compile and analyze campaign performance data to build actionable insights that drive campaign optimizations and future paid social strategies
  • Assist team in analyzing holistic paid social conversation trends and themes
  • 2+ years experience in paid social media
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing or business
  • Strong quantitative/analytical abilities with excellent communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proactive self-starter with a collaborative attitude who possesses a desire to work on a fast-paced, results based team
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with proven organization skills that allow you to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Hungry for growth and motivated to exceed expectations
  • Exhibit passion for social media and emerging platforms and demonstrate genuine curiosity in our clients & their business 
  • Digitally savvy, with specific proficiency at MS Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
