Supervisor, Digital Programmatic Investment

The Programmatic Investment Supervisor owns strategic programmatic planning and campaign execution for assigned clients. This position is both strategic and tactical in scope, requiring the Supervisor to independently generate strategic insights for the campaigns in his/her portfolio and implement campaigns with the support of Programmatic Analysts. Supervisors train Programmatic Analysts on client specific requirements, providing expertise in optimization strategies and guidance on best practices related to client communication.

The ideal candidate will have prior online trafficking and campaign management experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and prior experience with bid management platforms and active campaign optimization. Supervisors must possess a strong inner drive to contribute.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute, manage, and optimize online media campaigns and programs for agency clients (e.g. auction/exchange based performance media, audience-based buying, remarketing campaigns) while meeting or surpassing client performance expectations
  • Effectively communicate digital programmatic strategies and rationale for tactical approaches for each campaign
  • Oversight of larger and more strategic accounts and client relationships
  • Develop, grow, and maintain relationships with programmatic customers through exceptional client service
  • Formulate proposals for new client opportunities
  • Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts, and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch
  • Partner with Analytics team on campaign measurement reporting and insights generation
  • Provide regular insights to clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations, and new opportunities
  • Work with media partners to ensure accurate platform implementation
  • Oversee campaign QA process
  • Provide monthly auditing reports to Agency partners and actualize bill/pay systems when applicable
  • Act as liaison between trading team and other key teams on account (planners, research/analytics), including publisher relations
  • Lead and assist in coaching, managing, and educating Programmatic Associates, helping to support campaigns
  • Accountable for negotiating deals and supply packages for Programmatic Investment Team
  • Identifies business development opportunities with key publishers/sellers
  • Collaborate with strategy team on feasibility and benefit of potential PMP deals, as well as overall supply trends that may affect performance and scale
  • Develops agency Point of Views
  • Attend client meetings, as needed
  • Participate in regular knowledge share sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance

SYSTEMS & TOOLS

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Media planning & buying tools including Mediaocean/Prisma
  • Data visualization & reporting: Tableau
  • Familiarity with Programmatic ad tech including DMP’s, DSP’s, SSP’s, and 3rd party data providers is required
  • Familiarity with Viewability (MOAT, IAS, DoubleVerify) and audience measurement (ComScore, Nielsen DAR) is a plus

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
  • A minimum of eight years’ media experience required with 2 years managing a team
  • Digital/Programmatic Agency, Publisher, or Ad Operations experience is preferred
  • Minimum of two years’ experience within programmatic advertising required
  • Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
  • Client facing experience with the ability to identify risks and effectively manage through issues
  • Understanding of traditional and interactive media planning elements
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong desire to contribute to a team
