Supervisor, Media Strategy

Haworth seeks a Supervisor, Media Strategy with robust media experience and proven ability to deliver comprehensive, strategic media plans. The Supervisor will be responsible for flawless management and execution of plans, while promoting collaboration across internal and external teams. The Supervisor is to ensure excellent client service as the day-to-day client contact, and also look to challenge and develop his/her junior planning team.


Media Planning

  • Support Associate Director, Media Strategy in overall communication strategies
  • Manage and set day-to-day campaign process
  • Accountable for plan development and execution from inception to completion
    • Co-create strategic framework with Associate Director & Director and lead tactical planning
    • Ensure media plan delivers on client objectives and media framework
    • Develop measurement plan – work with analytic partners to guide evaluation criteria and optimization plans
    • Manage all budget activity, client documents and client billing process
    • Seek out and provide POVs for new media opportunities
    • In-depth knowledge of media tools with ability to identify role in planning & account management
  • Strong demonstration of media fundamentals and insights analysis across all channels and planning functions

Internal Communication

  • Report into Associate Director & manage up with team status items, questions, ideas, and check-ins
  • Train and delegate to Planners and Assistant Planners to support plan development
  • Liaison with internal teams

Relationships & Service

  • Support Associate Director in maintaining client relationships & expectations
  • Accountable for communicating direction back to Planner/Assistant team, partner agencies & channels to ensure timely creation & delivery of work
  • Manage client requests, plan changes and budget revision
  • Maintain high level knowledge of client business
  • Represent Haworth during external agency statuses
  • Ensure media and creative alignment through all phases of execution
  • Establish and foster relationships with key strategic media partners across channels


  • Responsible for preparing and delivering client communications and presentations
  • Responsible for presenting to clients and agency partners as appropriate
  • Responsible for developing Planner & Assistant Planner team presentation skills
  • 5+ years of media planning experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university – degree in Marketing, Advertising preferred
  • Superior knowledge of media resources, terminology and applications
  • Strong understanding of all media types, including TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor, Digital and Social (Digital and Social experience of particular importance)
  • Proven experience employing innovative thinking and creative strategic solutions
  • Ability to comfortably communicate with clients and vendors
  • Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • “Self-starter”, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workloads
  • Motivated to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration
