Supervisor, Video Strategy

Haworth seeks a strong Video (TV + Digital Video) and Audio (Terrestrial + Digital Radio) Supervisor. Looking for someone with deep knowledge of the Video and Audio industry, inclusive of Broadcast, Cable, Local, VOD, FEP, Streaming, OOH, Mobile, Desktop, Satellite and beyond. This person will be responsible for developing strong channel recommendations and using an innovative approach to drive business results for clients.


Video + Audio Plan Development

  • Collaborate with channel planning teams to identify Video + Audio channel roles and strategies within the broader media campaign, and oversee implementation of recommendation in partnership with the investment teams
  • Lead development of tactical plans for assigned accounts, and present holistic Video + Audio recommendation to client(s)
  • Ensure plan implementation is executed flawlessly
  • Provide oversight of all financial document preparation and distribution
  • Oversee stewardship of Video + Audio placements, post buy analyses for all clients and measurement to establish actionable performance metrics
  • Manage all channel costing information for assigned clients; and develop planning rates used within recommendations via multiple sources (historical, SQAD, network/station planning rates, etc.)
  • Utilize all available research resources (Nielsen, IMS, SQAD, Simmons) to guide development of channel tactical recommendations
  • Prepare all channel and campaign recaps with POV on performance, and recommendation for future optimizations
  • Build strong relationships with vendor partners; effectively represent agency and client wants and needs
  • Work on special projects as assigned by management
  • Participate in new business development as necessary

Client Relationships and Service

  • Respond to ongoing questions and requests relating to clients’ Video + Audio needs; understand on-going activity and potential impact on future media initiatives
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with day-to-day point personnel at client(s)

Internal Communication

  • Ensure direct team is informed of client, external developments specific to account responsibilities
  • Day-to-day contact throughout execution with other departments (traffic, research) to ensure a collaborative and healthy environment is maintained

Manage Personnel

  • Supervise, train and motivate staff as needed, developing and maintaining a healthy working relationship; committed to ensuring a positive, effective environment
  • Inspire members of your team to demand more opportunities/challenges
  • Deliver performance reviews on an annual basis for all direct reports

Employee Relations Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong positive working relationships with fellow employees
  • Work as an effective member across the various agency teams
  • Provide assistance to others in need of help as personal workload allows or as requested by management
  • 5+ years of media planning/buying experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university – degree in Marketing, Advertising preferred
  • Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy
  • Innovative thinking for developing creative strategic solutions
  • Exceptional computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Superior knowledge of media resources, terminology and applications
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
